Not losing
FC says I should eat 1700 calories to lose weight being an inactive person. I eat 1400 and still not losing. I do swim when I can, lift light weights and do all our yard and house work. Soooo, why am I not losing. When I eat more I gain weight. Any suggestion? A doctor said to eat more and exercise alot more to cancel out the calories and my body wont think it is starving. 1400 cal is a lot for me. I have trouble eating 1200. I eat really healthy and am not that hungry.
Can anyone help???

Measurements
Have you tried taking your measurements? Perhaps you are trading fat for muscle without a net loss of pounds.

You are not eating enough...
If you are suppose to eat 1700 calories a day, why are you eating 1400?
You don't want to throw your body into starvation mode, this will slow your metabolism down, and put your set point lower than it should be... Try eating several small meals in a day, and stick to the health guidelines set for age/height/activity... Then just add more exercise to your daily routine, then the pounds will start to come off, and you won't have to starve to get there.
