Nutrisystems
Hello All,

I am trying to get the "perfect body" for my fiance' for when we get married to eachother on September 4th, 2010 this year

I weigh about 209 right now, and I am 6"1, I have good muscles with my biceps, and chest, and I look a little thinner than I actually am, but my stomach needs work. I used to be a 32" waist, and I am now a 36" waist.

I am 27 years old, and I normally in my life have easily been able to gain, or lose 10 lbs with ease in a couple weeks, but this time has been more difficult. I used to smoke cigars for about 9 years, and I quit about a year ago, and I think that has something to do with it.

I also used to do competitive running, and have not had time with my business to do that as of late. Having said all that my eating habits have gotten a bit wild, I am eating about 3,000-3,400 calories a day!!

I love fitclick because I enjoy structured workouts, and dieting, but I still have not been losing wieght. So after saying all that background, I purchased nutrisytems today, I paid $400 for it so I am hoping to get some results, and I am, excited about the structured aspect of it. However, I am wondering if it is a waste and if anyone else has tried it?

If you have tried it, or if anyone has any good diets to recommend, I am not looking to lose a whole bunch of weight just lose 5-10 lbs of fat, and maintain my muscle mass, so it is a fine line, I certainly do not want to get to skinny, so I am not sure if just cutting calories is wise?

Please advise anyone who knows.

Diets
Hey there and congrats on your upcoming wedding!
I have not personally tried Nutrisystem, but I have a good friend, male who was about the same size, maybe heavier, as you and did it for a few months. His goals were similar as well. He did lose weight on the diet/program but remained flabbier than he wanted - he lost fat and muscle, it's a pretty extreme calorie deficit. He joined a gym and sign up to work out with a personal trainer 3 days a week. After a coulple of weeks of working out he found he was exhausted, sore, not recovering from workouts like he should and the trainer told him Nutrisystem was not enough calories for someone who is working out hard (and I agree) - so he cancelled it. One he was eating more, he started to see results from his workouts.

For your situation, I think Nutrisystem is too great of a calorie deficit for someone who wants to just lose 10 lbs of body fat, doesn't want to lose muscle, and will continue to work out. You could use the food and just add more of your own or protein shakes to bring calories up - or you may want to just do your own meal plan. I recommend training to boost your metabolism (superset lifting supplemented with plyometric training), keep calories to 3000 a day with 30% or so from protein and keep it lean and clean, and do weight training 3-4 times a week you should see the results you want with no trouble at all by Sept. 3400 calories a day is actually not an astronomical amount for someone of your size who is working out - you probably just need to be careful what you are eating vs how many calories...and make sure you are training hard to keep your metabolism revving. Eating more times a day vs having 3 big meals a day will also help regulate and boost your metabolism.

An excellent solution in regulating the weight of your own body can be the use of CBD oil. I for example after buying CBD in the store hempworldstore.com and the use within a month noticed a good decrease in appetite, that is, it is remarkably reflected in the desire to eat something. So keep that in mind.
