PASTA WITH ONLY 5G DIGESTIBLE CARBS!!!
According to what's written on its box, Dreamfield's pasta has only 5g of digestible carbs per serving. That's only 20 calories absorbed per serving. If you like pasta, it could help. It seems just like regular pasta, but it has soluble fiber in it. Just don't cook it quite as long. (It's easier to find all their varieties online than it is to find them in any one store.)

I forgot to add the protein & fat calories...
I forgot to add the protein & fat calories... Per 2 ounce serving, it says it has 7 grams of protein and 1 gram of fat (besides the 5 grams of digestible carbs). Since protein and carbs have 4 calories per gram and fat has 9, the digestible calories per serving would actually add up to 57. Still less than a third of the calories you'd absorb from traditional pasta.

Hungry Girl tip
There is apparently a tofu noodle in the refrigerator section that is super low in calories and high in protein. I can look it up if you are interested. I haven't tried it. The reveiws all say it is good, but I detest tofu. I've had it cooked hundreds of ways, and it is the one food that promotes a gag reflux on me.

Another one of her pasta tricks was to use broccoli slaw (mix of carrots, broccili, and cabbage shredded like pasta) I steam it for 1 minute in the MW and add tomato sauce. Tonight I had it with grilled chicken and yellow bell peppers... and I never even missed the pasta. My kids wanted to try it, and they all preferred it to regular chicken parm. Who knew?
