Also I have other pathology going on in my right foot. Doctor told be basically my marthon walking days are over.
I have to learn and develope other methods of working out. I don't like bike riding here where I live. I tried a mountion bike once and just couldn't get into it. There is no flat areas here. Its either up or down hill.

Sorry can't help
I have peripheral neuropathy in both feet. I am young active, but hobble around constantly. Imagine walking on hot coals, rusty nails, steel wool, and sandpaper all at the same time?

They can be expensive, but because of their gearing the hills really don't matter. And they are really comfortable. I got one second hand and saved allot of money. I drive it to work every day and ride it on the streets of San Diego. With little problems.

A YEAR! OMG. I guess I did the same thing you did. It must be our stubborness .8191 so what did you do and will I ever be able to walk at least 5-10 miles ever again? I know once I feel better I'll start exercises for it. I just need to get motivated to get back to free wts and strenght training.
