Retired and Growing
I weighed 145 lbs. @60. I retired and now 3 years later I weigh 219 lbs and on some days 221 lbls. This is very frustrating. I retired early because I could no longer sustain being on my feet 9 to 12 hours a day sometimes 6 to 7 days in a row. I developed arthrithis and my back and knees could not tolerate that activity any longer. I exercise but I nolonger can do a 10 hour average of physical work. I problem is I still eat the same and so I am hungry when I eat less and I just grew into a sixe 3X top and sixe 16 bottoms. I have closet full of size 8 and 10 clothes. I have never weigh this much in my whole life. I do not want to go anywhere because somebody might see me that I know and I am always embarressed when that happens. I know they are thinking, OMG what happened to her. I hate the way I look and I cry quite a lot. I am trying this site and I hope it will help me.If I get to 150 to 160 I could feel a little better. I hope this will work. I am only on day 3.

Marysa I agree
Hi I have had back problems and several surgeries the last couple years & I cannot exercise much more than pool therapy and limited walking. It seems like the last few years the weight has just appeared! I am in my 50's and same weight bracket. I feel the same about clothes and hoping I don't run into people I haven't seen in a long time because they may think the same thing. Also I hate being in photos but want some with my grandchildren. I know getting the weight off will help with the back and knee pain.
All we can do is keep trying, my dietitian wants me to be on 1200 cal/day and believe me I don't think it is enough so some days I go way over. But I decided no matter what I eat and no matter how little I may exercise I will keep track. I have been using a pedometer and if I get 10,000 steps I am getting somewhere...hang in there!

Thank You
Thank You it always feel better when you are not alone. I followed an 1800 calorie diet this week and worked in the yard. I lost 4 lbs. I guess that is better than no loss at all.

Thank You
I tried 1800 calories a day and lost 4 lbs. I think I will stay on this until I stop loosing weight and slowly decrease the calories so I do not binge. Maybe this will also work for you. Low fat diet.

The best remedy for overweight is sex)) I think that retirement is not a reason to refuse it. I agree, the circulatory system may not work as well as in 20 years. However, there is a way out - https://edblog.com.au/get-cialis-australia/ It strengthens the heart and restores natural potency. Return sex to your life and you yourself will see how quickly you get in good shape.
