Shopping Smart At The Grocery Store
Do you read the nutrition facts label on packaged food? I try to choose healthy foods more often. Foods that are lower in fat and have fewer calories.

I do more now than ever.
I am way more conscious of ingredients than I used to be.

Yes
My first goal is to avoid buying things with a label or multiple ingredients (the stuff around the perimeter of the store: produce, bulk foods, dairy etc).
But when I do need to read the package, I turn it around (everything on the front is advertising, even the "low fat" and "multi-grain" nonsense).
I look at the nutrition facts first to get a feel for the macro ratios (carbs vs. protein vs. fat), and then on to the ingredients. Put back anything with a long ingredient list, or if it contains "partially hydrogenated" anything (aka 'trans-fats').
Fat itself isn't bad...fat doesn't make you fat. Too many calories make you fat.

I also don't buy anything process or has gluten and agree with mschrank. We eat fresh and cook our protein. I even go as far as making my own peanut butter.
