Snack suggestions? Stuck at computer for hours...
Someone PLEASE give me suggestions on what to snack on. I have to be at my computer for hours at a time studying lectures for my class every day (anywhere from 3-9 hours in one day). I need something to munch on because I get restless at the computer and keep thinking that I'm hungry. =/ Water can only go so far... any suggestions would be an awesome help!

Snack suggestions
I like to have a Tazo Chai Tea with skim milk. Also is great when you don't feel well gives you a lift. It is a spiced black tea latte concentrate.

Rely to Snack Suggestions
I don't know about you, but I love my snacks to crunch, lol...I was really successful with the South Beach Diet a couple of years back and my favorite snacks were 30 pistachios (you can open them out of the shell slowly and the ceremony of doing that as dorky as it sounds makes it feel like you are eating more than you are). Also celery with laughing cow cheese. It's yummy and celery is really good for your digestion! Not to mention laughing cow cheese is low in calories and DELISH!

=)

Lol That's so funny! I actually just finished my pistachios. =] It is a pretty good help when I need something to munch on! And I completely forgot about celery. I actually like celery... I'm glad you reminded me! Thanks =]

nil calories
If you are after just the action of your mouth moving- why not try fresh raw veges, or make a big vege stir-fry in curry- in all honesty this is the best for you, high in fibre and filling because your consuming a lot of water. Getting your mouth moving will kind of trick your brain into thinking you're eating lots- which you are but things that are almost calorie free

Dannon makes a great non-fat Greek Yogurt. It has fruit in is and it taste great, as well as being high in protein. It is a great snack when you stuck at a the computer all day.

Snack time
Now retired but when I worked I kept grapes/grapefruit and apples on my desk-- apples are also great with laughing cow cheese! I would cut fruit in half and would time myself 30 minutes between eating the second half. Also have you tried chewing gum??? They are now making gum where the taste last for a long time... I agree with the nut thing.... the longer it takes me to open something the fuller I feel--- peanuts in the shell do it for me too but they sure can get messy--- Good luck

Reply to Snack Time
I agree Donnasim that laughing cow cheese is great with apples! So is part skim or low fat mozzarella! It's good with apples and pears!!

You're welcome Ladi :)
