Sooooo easy to add pounds but sooooo hard to take them off
My battle started 8 yrs ago...I'm 5'1" tall and forever weight 110 lbs. Was an avid exerciser by much coaxing from my hubby. Then the unthinkable happened...my husband actually died while jogging in New Orleans.. Two tourist who happened to be nurses and waiting for the streetcar right where he fell started CPR on him immediately. A dr was jogging and another was driving by and both stopped to help. All this happened 2 blocks from a hospital. It took over 20 min before they could get his heart beating again... Now he has a brain injury resulting in short term memory loss. His recuperation period resulted in my pushing excercise to the side and gaining 15 lbs. We still have our condo in New Orleans but find all we do when we go there is eat at those great restaurants..Thus far I've lost some but am really struggling. Now with a knee injury I sometimes feel hopeless. Fit Click, thanks for refocusing me...but most of all thank you for giving me another avenue of conversation.. Plus, your site contains loads of GREAT info.

We have found a real treasure here...
It is so good to have this place to come to and discuss these topics. Not many people in my "real" life have the same passion that I do for fitness and good nutrition :)

Easy on. Hard off.
So maybe the answer is to avoid putting them on. I know we as humans won't always be able to not gain unwanted weight but if we learn of ways to mitigate some of opps moments we will be able to keep the weight gain to a minimum. Besides were not always in control of weight gain, water, salt, and injury to name a few cause to retain water weight. I'm almost at my goal weight and this topic is a great concern of mine. I'm finding that I have to be a student of how the body works to keep itself healthy and work within those parameters to maintain a healthy weight and fat levels. Good luck all!
