Starting out...with SO FAR TO GO
I am just starting out on this site, and with my weight loss efforts in general.. I feel like I am too far gone to actually achieve my goals...I have to lose ANOTHER person! I'm not even being over dramatic...I have about 150 pounds to shed...i feel overwhelmed, yet excited...I want to make myself a priority...for once.

You can do it!
I am new to this site too-and I also have alot to lose. But we gotta start somewhere right?! I am getting married in June, and I know that it's impossible to look the way I wish I did by then, but it's never too late to start I guess.

WE CAN DO IT!!!
It will take time but at least the time will be well worth it. I have 150 pounds to lose. I gained mine from postpartum depression. But I am done with giving myself lame excuses, I had abs before I was pregnant and I really do not care about that so much as seeing my lower region again. I wonder what it looks like now and the extra weight makes me moody and overly hot constantly. But if anyone wants to talk and become weight lose buddies that would be nice. I do not like talk to my family members about this because my two younger sisters have no idea the both still have their abs and no kid so till they have one they have no clue even close to how I am feeling right now.

wishing us all luck
I am also new to this site. I have half-way tried forever to loose my weight, making one excuse after another on why I can't. I am starting to realize that it is up to me, and that the excuses arn't going to cut it anymore if I want to be happy. I hate looking at myself, I hate trying on clothes, and most of all I hate when my husband touches me..or god forbid looks at me naked in the daylight! I really want this time to be a sucess and hopefully if I have other people holding me accountable, I will do the same for myself! I wish you all luck in meeting your goals..btw I want to loose around 90 pounds :(

starting with you!
I have about 100 to loose, dont look at the TOTAL goal, break it down and take it a step at a time, change one thing at a time and get into a new routine with food choices, water intake and activity...

I just started tracking my food intake on this site, not making any changes yet... just to see WHERE I am going wrong...

post here daily to report your progress... reporting to other live ppl will keep your choices honest and being honest with yourself is the first step! onwards and upwards!

WE WILL DO THIS - TOGETHER
I woke up one Monday morning in Dec and realized none of work clothes fit anymore (and some had been purchasaed within the lst 2 months!!!) I managed to get to a weight i have never seen before, and have almost 100 lbs myself to go. I will be forty this April and have decided 40 Fit and Fabulous is my goal (or well on my way to the fit part) I have pposted this goal evrywhere on post-its! Breaking it down into a smaller goals really helps. My initial goal is 40lbs which should bring me back to my picture weight at which point I have a very bold reward for myself...I will buy a bikini to wear on the beach i plan to spend my 40th on in the DR! WE can all do this, the first step is taken, the rest just involves one baby step in front of the other. Don't think of this as a diet, but as a new way of living - cuz that is what it needs to be. I have lost over 50lbs twice before through diets that left me feeling deprived and did not teach me how to eat forever. Hence i gained it all back plus some. This time will be different - I will have the support and encouragement of many...AS WILL YOU TOO!

Just begining again
Although this is not my first attempt to fitness but I am determined I will be successful. I have always been healthy besides being overweight, but since I turned 40 (3 years ago) my blood pressure and blood sugar have been on the rise. Now they are at levels that can't be ignored but can be remedied by losing weight and adopting a healthy lifestyle. I am hoping to find the support I need here and offer some also. So with 85lbs to lose I will be around here for awhile.

Hey I feel what you are saying, sick of being over weight.
I don't know if the conversion is right but at the moment i weigh 83kg which by google is 182 lbs?
I used to weigh 110 kg (242 lb) in January 2008 due to having my first son (Travis) in 2005, weighed 84kg (185 lb) by march 09 and fell pregnant in April 09. I gave birth to my 2nd son (Logan) on January 8th 2010 and have promised not to let myself go again!
I currently weigh 83kg (182 lb) and want to get down to roughly 60kg ()
Would love sum 1 to talk to.
xx Kaila

ME TOO!
I'm also new to this site, and I need some encouragement.
I have just over 50 lbs to shed, and with a baby in my life it is a bit overwhelming. no time to get to a gym, no time to prepare healthy food... I take advantage of the time I have when my husband is home to sleep, or to take a bath :)
My husband is a really bad influence on my eating habits: there is so much ice cream in my freezer, and he likes to order in pizza at lesat once a week. I enjoy cooking, I just don't ahve the time or the energy for it.
I would love to get to a weight that i had in highschool (early early highschool) - and stop gaining 10 pounds a year - more this year because of the baby.
I also need the motivation!!
