Suggestions for wrist pain from bicep preacher curl machine
Started experiencing right wrist pain after using the bicep preacher curl machine at the gym about a week and a half ago. The discomfort wasn't constant but would return full force when I made certain movements, eg. picking up a gallon of milk or taking the nozzle out of the gas pump. Working out on Wednesday night, I used the machine again and experienced pain in my right wrist again. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any thoughts? I also bought a small wrist brace yesterday (often prescribed for carpal tunnel or tendonitis) to wear when I use the machine next. Does that sound like a good decision?

I would suggest you to try using dumbbells same exercise. Those machines isolate your muscles and if your weak in one muscle group thats were you may injure yourself. Dumbbells will allow your stronger muscles to help your not as strong muscles.

Thank you all of you for your suggestions! I tried alternating arms on the bicep machine after Cutcarb suggested that and there was definitely an improvement. I also wore a wrist brace while doing my arm work. I will definitely give the dumbbells a shot too. I just don't have a great deal of experience with free weights and am a little nervous about getting hurt. Any recommendations on good sites that will offer some instruction before I take the plunge?
