Set small simple goals and as you accomplish them set new ones. Soon achieving your goals becomes a new life changing habit :)

Great advice Freakfreeloader
Try using a smaller plate to control portion sizes and don't go for asecond plate unless you sit for 20 minutes and still feel hungry It's about making small but meaningful changes you can live with. I swapped out double double coffees (that's 2 cream 2 sugars for my American friends) for coffees with half a cream and always take the stairs over the escalator on my walk to work. Those small changes alone mean a swing of 1700 net calories in a week meaning if I stopped doing those things and returned to my former habits, I'd gain about 1/2 pound per week. You don't have to run marathons and starve yourself to maintain a heathy weight, you just need to make a few smart changes that you can truly live with. Good luck. I hope you are feeling better now ckandi.
