Unexplained weight gain
In my first week or so on this site, I lost 5 pounds and a couple inches all around which was wonderful. After that I bought an exercise bike, became more aware of what I was eating, etc etc. I have been consistently in or below my calorie range and have been working out more than ever (mostly cardio on the bike and strength focusing on the core and legs), and somehow I am back up to my original weight! I have not been cheating, according to the little "my progress" chart I should be losing around 3-4 lbs per week, not gaining 5. A friend told me to look at measurements instead of weight but they have stayed the same or increased as well.

Any ideas on what is going on or what I could do to get my body back on track??

Yes, I think at times we all go through the same thing. I have lost 75 lbs and now it seems that with 32 to go i am in the same boat. I have found that sometimes we can have as much as 10 lbs of solid waste in our systems. As much as 5 lbs of liquid. How is your body fat content?

The problem is so much of weight loss can be illusionary. I mean without knowing your personal habits. How often you weight? Are you holding water? Are you eliminating solid waste on a regular basis?
Do you over train?

Sometimes if we irratate our muscles too much they reatain water to sooth the irratation.

In my opinion weight loss while a great motivator, should be used more as a guide not the end all and be all. If you are eating properly and exercising eventually it will work its way out. Focus on maintaing the healthy life style and the weight will take care of itself.

I would say that if this continues for two months or more then see a doctor as there might be a problem.
