Week-ends!!!!
Hi everyone
Just wondered if I could get some feedback on what people do to overcome weight gain on the week end. I do fine during the week, losing a couple of pounds but then on a week-end away visiting I will put on 3 lbs. (even staying as close to plan as possible) destroying what I have done. Very discouraging. I take my snacks with me but my husband gets mad when I haul out a yogurt at a fast food restaurant. I also enjoy a small glass of wine on the week-end and was wondering if that is helping to sabotage my results. Please feedback with any tips. Thanks

Talk to him
Honestly, you need to get your husband on board with you...which seems impossible sometimes.

My partner is so bad for take-out and junk and he know's it's my weakness, so finally last weekend I had enough and confronted him about it. I told him that all I need was his support. He could eat crap during the day (while at work), but to please not order out in the evenings, and to not give me a hard time.

I told him how important losing weight was for me and he took it seriously. Now he's very supportive and has stopped complaining about the amount of vegetarian meals in our diet.

Supportive Spouse
I am blessed to have a very supportive husband. He does not have to worry about gaining weight, and he can get frustrated with cooking dinner when it's his turn. We plan our own foods we want during the day, but at dinner, when we are together, I just skip or substitute some of the side dishes that he enjoys. We have always liked healthy foods and we grow a vegetable garden in the summer, but he does crave the burgers and fries and pizza's. He now eats those things when not with me.

Thanks for the feedback
Last week-end I managed to contain myself and only gained one pound. Unfortunately, we celebrated Valentine's day with chineese and I put on another 2. This was very discouraging since it had taken me two weeks to loose 4 lbs. Here's hoping it comes off fast.

Weekend Worries
I try to do more exercise on the weekend so that it will offset the 1-2 lbs that I gain....

Work Calories In
I work my "splurge" weekend calories into my total count for the day.

Daily "average"
If I eat several hundred more calories per day over the weekend then I have a couple days during the week where I eat several hundred less to average them out.

Weekend
If I eat to much on the weekend then I just cut back for the next couple days also.

Add more exercise
I really try to up my exercise on weekends---sometimes that accommodates the extra calories!
