Weight Free Workouts
Okay, so I have been looking around for a weight free workout and there has been no luck. I do not have the funds for weights, resistance bands etc. I want to improve overall fitness as well as a little toning just without the weights.
Can anyone offer my a plan or point me in the right direction.
Thanks

2 Suggestions
Hey Hampson,
I have two suggestions 1) take up cardio that seems to free anywhere (i.e go to your local high school track, or mapmyrun.com) 2) I don't much on the topic but i herd that you can use house hold materials as weights... you might want to google that.
Hope this helps

Suggestion
Hi! With my Cable service I have an On-Demand section that has free fitness movies on it, if you have cable you may want to check that out. They have all kinds of stuff from yoga to Bollywood dancing!

tried yoga yet?
it sounds like yoga could be a good fit for you. do you have any experience with it? not only will it increase strength and flexibility, but it will also increase core strength, and tone will improve from there. if you're unfamiliar with it, maybe you can look up some free instructional classes or pick up a book, or maybe even ask some friends if they have any experience.

sure
There are many effective exercises you can do that do not require weights. Pushups, pullups, squats, etc.
That being said, spending a couple bucks on a set of dumbbells is probably one of the best investments you could make. And they're really not that expensive. Look around and keep your eyes open.
In the mean time, type "body weight exercises" into Google.
Good luck!

We're in the same boat, my friend!
Hello, I just joined today. I had the same problem you have right now. I googled "free at home workouts without weights" and I got a few good sites.

Theres many excersies you can do. Push ups wide and narrow, squats, lunges, all different kinds of ab excersies. Pilates would be good for you too. Very good for strength. Or just go yard saleing and look for a cheap set of dumbbells.
