well, i am over 70, in fact 71
oh my gosh, I think i am reading myself when i read all your posts. it is me over and over. I have been on every diet there is and no budge the scales downward. Been following atkins induction and zero, ziltch, nothing. Cannot get into ketosis and not losing inches.Apparently I am not doing it right. I have found the Stillman diet and it is zero carbs and will give any diet a boast so tomorrow I will try it for a week. Never had weight problem nor ever had problem losing either. I think I like this site and for sure you folks seem to be in same bote with me,
thanks for listening to my venting.

It hard to lose and to keep it off. The kids are grown and left home and me and my husband eat whatever we want to eat. I see myself eating out all of the time a bad habbit to start, now my biggest question to myself how do i get back on track and how do i start

Here we go again
I am a diet PRO. Just ask and I have tried it. At 63, I have found how much harder it is to lose the weight. I want to lose 44 pounds by the end of April and need lots of support and encouragement. I can give a lot as well. I want to be able to play with my grandsons. A great motivator.

I'd like to join you.
Hi, everyone. Well, here I am again, and so glad to have found Fit Click. My sister-in-law and I (different states) are on the journey together. I'm prob the oldest in the group at 65, but I do feel younger. I have epilepsy (controlled now), and that's important to what I will say next. Several years ago I lost 52 pounds, but got down, accidentally, to 126. That caused my albumen level to bottom out and throw me into seizures. So I have set a goal of 140 this time. I started this time on September 7, at 178.5, and this morning I weighed 172.5. I ride a stationery bike 30 or more minutes each day. Support will be great.

Good luck
Well congratulations for getting started. It is interesting I was chatting with someone (thin) who very unkindly put down another of my friends because they were extremely overweight. It made me angry -- I know just how much psychological effort it takes to go out in public and participate in physical activities when it does not come naturally, or the size of your body inhibits much exercise. Walking is a wonderful way to exercise and can be very effective. I have started walking with poles. At first I didn't like it - but now it is working well for me. Using the poles helps you walk more up-right, and takes strain off the back.
Good luck to you. You can do it .

Why do you only post once?
Hi Everyone,
I read this thread with great interest but i'm wondering why you only post the once? why not follow up and tell us how you are doing? I NEED to lose at least 55lbs and would like to do it with the support of others. I'm aiming for 10lbs a month i'm down six this month so i'm on track to do it. I can so relate to Marysa i've kept my thin clothes also and look at them longingly LOL thinking that one day i'll wear them again. Well, guess what the years are rolling by and it seems to be a pipe dream but it needn't be so lets do it!before its too late. I've noticed that people I work with and know look at my face then down at my body and I know they are thinking my god she is getting fat or has let herself go and I hate it. I want my body and my life back.
Good Luck Buddies!!

Why Only One Post - what about follow up?
Actually, I am using my Blog as a daily reporting spot for myself - to track how I am feeling, if I am on track or just to give myself a reality check. If you check it out (I think it is public, not sure) you will see my self-humour. But I agree -- its a little different than other sites I've visited.
I'm having a yucky day - behaving, but feeling bloated and icky. - Jenn

you can do it
Stop beating yourself up, you can do this. Remember that thin person is inside of you waiting to come out. Your not the only person to have this happen, I know how you feel. Take a simple walk it will be your first step! Congratulations on moving forward
