me too
Will turn 60 this summer. Have 20 more pounds to lose.
Back on my regimen and feel better already.
15 min. of cardio every morning and keeping track of the calories.
This is the first time I have actually written down what I eat.
That is making a difference for me. When I think of eating something, I first ask myself if I really want to add it to my log. A small deterrent.
Wishing everyone here some success. For me the weight loss will be nice, but it's really about better health. Cheers.

Your story sounds a lot like mine!
After making a big change in my life, about 13 years ago, I went from 145 lb. (5'5") to 170 in less than 2 years. I now fluctuate between 175 and 185 and have done so since I gained the weight.
I'm an emotional eater and have been working on changing that so I can get this weight off. I have began counting calories and trying to eat between 1200-1400 calories a day. I find if I eat regularly, I can control what I eat BUT if I miss a meal, I crave everything and anything I can get in my mouth.
I have become a recluse due to my weight and I hate myself for it. I don't judge people by their weight; yet, I judge myself by my weight. I would love to work with you all on our goal to become healthy again. We all need to stay positive and working together, I believe we can do it.

I'm 51 and the heaviest I've ever been,, BUT losing,,,
what I have found that is working is "The Four Hour Body" by Tim Theriss. Its "Slow Carbs" very boring, you rotate 5 or 6 of the same meals,, BUT you can eat what ever you want one day a week!!!! Thats right I said it!!!! Otherwise I couldn't do it! It is a very thick book and sells for about 17.00 on Amazon, you can also read it on a kindle on your computer. I lost 7 lbs the first week. its not like Atkins or South Beach. He is a scientist who has used himself as a guinea pig for 20 years. He talks about using ice packs on your neck or chest for 30 mins to speed up your metabolism, (which works) and lots of other things, its different than anything else I've ever read! I have lost a total of 25 lbs so far! And I have many more to go, I have been trying to lose this weight for years! It works for me, and I'm deseperate
