When in Rome
It's called "customary" when you travel, the way they did, I suppose it is insulting to refuse the cultural dishes. Bat is a delicacy in some places. To each his own. Have you traveled much FFL? Just curious.

I'd have to say tripe (cow stomach lining) which was a popular meal in our Italian family but I couldn't get past the chewy texture. Chocolate covered ants was a close second. I almost tried the chocolate covered grasshoppers, but didn't. I can get by most things with hot sauce on it.

I agree with FFL. I do not tend to travel (I am a homebody and like to enjoy what is around me). I did try crawfish when I went to Houston for work. I must say I am not of fan of anything that I have to wipe it's poo off of it before I eat it and it was so heavily salted it was pretty hard to tell what it actually tasted like.

Lol....I'm still not going to eat it, I do travel once a year. My wife and I love resorts, and 5 star only so we are spoiled. We eat what we want :) and its beef, pork, and chicken. Customary or not they won't serve that were I stay.

Great Picture...
Must be nice, FFL. Lucky devil.
All I can do is reminisce on my past travels. Traveling now is exhorbitant. I am glad I did what I did, when I did.
1 tip to the wise, never eat "street food" [no matter how good it looks] in any foreign country...only time it's okay is at the Feast of St. Genarro in Little Italy NYC.
