What is your "Ideal" body type?
I just learned that I prefer an athletic body type, I guess that's why I want to lose all the fat on my belly and loose skin when others say they don't see anything to lose.

I'm not the hardcore, burn of my breast, athletic type, or going below 18% body fat, but I don't want things giggling when then don't have to, mind you I am 57 years old but I'm going to fix what I can just for my own peace of mind and self confidence. Also I want to do this to stick it to men who discount women over a certain age as undesirable, no longer attractive because things change on us. And it's already started, men my age , with their mouths open stare at my tummy, and thighs with disbelief and it's sweet! Their beginning to flirt with me again. And no I'm not married so I can enjoy the flirting!

Body Type
I too am 57 and prefer not to have any "jiggles", I don't believe just because you age that it is an excuse not to stay fit. I see so many younger girls in their 20's that are not in shape...I think it is vital to our health to stay in as good of shape as possible, and the benefits of being strong flexable and able to wear our same size as in our younger years is also a bonus!

deal body fat is subjective. Healthy (for a female) would be anywhere from 13%-29% depending on the individual. Very athletic females (usually with more muscle) may have as low as 13%-17%, fit females may have 19%-23% body fat and average (but still healthy) females could have up to 25%-29% body fat. 30% is over fat and 12% is under fat.

Great info!
Thanks for the clarification on the subject, so I would like to stay in the healthy but still fit category I want hold on to some of my curves, I like being and looking like a girl! Donnaism, I wonder if a completely flat belly is a pipe dream. I'm doing the most I can to rid myself of what I thinks is body fat, but i'm beginning to think that a lot of it is loose skin from losing the weight after all these years of being overweight, I wish I knew when I was trying to loose the weight at lightning speed that there was a risk of loose stretched out skin, I would have lost it in years not months the time to give my skin a chance to keep up with the changes after all these decades. Woulda, shoulda, coulda!
