What is your favorite pumpkin dish?
Like pumpkin pancakes or waffles, also use it in oatmeal or smoothies.

Not a fan of pumpkin, but you should try some fresh elephant garlic :)

I've been experimenting with pumpkin at home. Made pumpkin smoothie, pumpkin protein shake, pumpkin pancake, pumpkin biscuit, pumpkin oatmeal... thinking of other cravings I can satisfy... :) I want to avoid the fast food and restaurant temptations!

For my pumpkin pancake I used
canned organic pumpkin
Carbquik (a bisquick alternative)
cinnamon
allspice
sea salt
vanilla extract
organic stevia powder

still working on the ratios. but even the "failed" attempts are quite tasty! :)

LOL!
@ FFL...Thanks, I will throw some elephant garlic into my pumpkin pie.
@Wendy, do you have that pumpkin smoothie recipe?

Anyone of you guys who make smoothies, what is the best blender? I have an ancient Oster, it's failing to chop ice up well. Maybe a food processor would work better,

I use a MagicBullet blender. It works well.

for the smoothie I did this week...

1 cup almond milk (unsweetened vanilla)
approx 3/4 cup organic canned pumpkin (or more to suit taste)
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, cloves)
(I just use whatever I have on hand)
1 scoop Raw Protein (unflavored protein powder)
Organic Stevia Powder
Ice Cubes (enough for desired consistency)

--- sometimes I substitute non-fat plain Greek yogurt for the almond milk (more calories, but more protein and thicker consistency)

--- sometimes I add ground flax and/or chia seeds

I experiment a lot and get different results but never are my attempts "unedible" :)
