I tryed Yoga at the Y a couple of times.. I think Im just to old and over weight for it.. You have to get into possitions that seem impossiable. Its harder then it looks.. Everyone says its great for the body tho.. Good luck..

Never too old
Never too old and know people that are overweight may not exactly do it but in time and exercising.

Thats why I didnt stick with it because I was very heavy at the time, just seemed impossible. I wish I would have stuck with it back then. I have come to learn that nothing is impossible if you work hard at it and want it bad enough.

I've tried it a few times too with not much success
I wish I could do it but I am so inflexible that most moves seem impossible. You're right Cowgirl, perhaps I'll try again. My daughter is always asking me to try Hot Yoga with her.

Regular stretching helps maintain and improve flexibility. Don't stretch cold muscles thats were most people go wrong. Stretch when your muscles are warm, ideally after cardio training. Stretching with warm muscles enhances results. I have been studying and teaching the martial arts for 30 years we always do 15 minuts of cardio before we stretch. Rmatt is right never to old, if you find yoga hard try Tae Chi when I retire from the martail arts thats what I'm going to begin studying.

Thanks
Great advice. No one has ever suggested to me to warm up prior to a yoga class although I do for every other activity so it makes perfect sence. Thanks Freakfreeloader. I will give it another try and if I still can't manage I'll look for a Tae Chi class.
