Yogurt Cheese
Hi siminVa10,
Thanks for your input! I know that fresh fruit is better for you but I just don't like the fact of it getting spoiled... You had mentioned making "yogurt cheese". How do you make that?

fruit
Absolutely add fruit to your yogurt - fresh or frozen - there isn't a nutritional difference between the two so whichever taste you prefer. I would lot recommend adding sugar or honey or sweeteners, get the sugar the natural way from the whole fruit and that's the best. It's impossible to find fruit-added yogurt that doesn't also have extra added sugar (and more preservatives)...adding your own is always best. You could try adding nuts too...
Greek yogurt I'm sure would make wonderful yogurt cheese!

Yogurt Cheese
Scout
Yogurt cheese is really easy. Use plain yogurt, put a coffee filter or cheese cloth in a strainer, put the yougurt in it, place the strainer over a bowl, and put it in the refrigerator. When the liquid drains out, several hours or overnight, you have yogurt cheese. You can then mix it with spices, other ingredients to make dips and spreads. Enjoy!

re: Greek Yogurt
the greek yogurt is my daily breakfast and like you I don't like to have just plain yogurt. The greeks that I know actually eat this stuff as a dessert by adding nuts (usually unsalted walnuts or almonds) and honey. I get some plain granola and add some honey (my wife likes that kashi granola with the dehydrated fruit).
Hope this helps.

Nuts
AmericanMag,
Out of all the nuts available, do they all hold about the same amount of nutritional value or are any specific nuts better than the other?
