I would love a work out partner. This would motivate me and keep me on track.

I'm 55. Wanna give each other the occasional kick in the seat of the pants to help stay on track?

I am 62(you can say 63,cause the 31st I will be). I need someone so I can have a friend to lose weight with. I find I do have trouble staying motivated, while I'm by myself.

Glad to be Motivating Friends
I just started using this website last week. I had a good week, and carefully planned each meal, even if I was away from home. It is easy now because of summer vacation ( I work in public schools). The hard part is when work kicks in and my time is limited. I've tried many different ways to lose weight, and keep it off. I like this site it is simple to use, has alot of tools, and it's free. What kind of exercises are you doing? I have a treadmill, and am slowing getting back into using free weights. I have trouble with one knee so I have to take the walking a little slower.

Exercise buddy
I turned 63 today. Are you still working out? How is it going on your plan?

buddy up
Hi, I'm 56 and just started this site. I wanted to get back into lifting free weights to help me from losing muscle mass. I don't have much time, I work full time and more. I lost 15 lbs using W.W. online, got to costly so I thought I'd try this. I have a treadmill I use everyday. we'll have fun together. babs101

Exercising over 60
Congratulations to you folks exercising and born in the 1940s decade!

I'm 61 and I own a pedicab business. Yes, I drive a pedicab and smoke all the college students I hire. At the age of 58 I ran the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The best advice I have heard on exercise came from George Sheehan, a cardiologist who is considered to be the father of the running explosion in the mid to late 70s. "Find a cardiovascular exercise that is fun. It might be running, walking, swimming, or cycling, but make sure it's fun. Otherwise, you won't stay with it." He is also known for the quote, "I don't run to increase my vital capacity, but to increase the capacity for everything that is vital."

Best wishes and have fun!
