Change of eating habits
I've really tried to watch what I eat. I don't go to extremems I think that makes it harder.

I try and eat right 80-85% of the time. Weight isn't coming off as fast, but I don't "crash" now by trying to eat right all the time.

At Subway:

I go with honey oat over white bread. I go with honey mustard over mayo. I add alot more veggies.

Friday night is pizza night with the family: Boys 8 & 5. We order thin crust instead of deep dish.

My night time snack is oatmeal instead of pop tarts.

Buy fresh fruit along and mix it with can fruit in a bowl in the fridge. That way its right in front of you when you open the door looking for junk.

I've also bought the Slim A Bear ice cream. It helps with the ice cream craving.

I try and take a salad a day or two a week to work. Buy mushrooms, green peppers, imitaion crab meat, eggs or whatever you like.

Eating differently
I started living differently about a yeaar ago at age 41. Reading everything i could find about health and fitness. What seems to work for me 99% of the time is eating clean. I avoid any processed foods. I eat lean meats, veggies, fruit, stuff like that. I do eat yogurt, low fat cheeses, that stuff too, and once a week i eat at least one junk food meal. Cheeseburger, hot wings, pizza... something that i really want. I also do cardio and strength training for at least an hour 4-5 days a week. By no means do I look like a model. I have fat that i don't think i'll ever get rid of. But I do think I look better than I did. My clothes fit better, and I feel better. I can run circles around some of the 30 year olds at work! So keep at it and if I can help at all, please ask! - jlds
