can you drink to much water
hey there my name is isabelle and i am new to fitclick
i was wondering if any one know if any one can drink to much water and that why i am weight because its all water weight iam gaining back

Yes you can most definitely drink too much water. Water weight is only a minor part of true weight gain. I would suggest replacing soda, juice, tea, or any sort of beverage you might drink with water. Don't drink too much however. The normal is drinking 8 cups (8 ounces) of water a day. Its not that much when you truly think about it.

i drink about 2 liter a day because i am scare of taking the calories with any other drink

O well i think that's good. Me i love juice and don't drink water at all. It just dose not tast the same.

NO JUICE!!
Don't do that to yourself! There's so many empty calories and little nutritional value in juice- even if it's 100% juice you get almost no fiber and A LOT of sugar.

If you don't like the taste of water try a little lemon or orange squeezed in it or put some Crystal Light in it if you must but please don't drink only juice.

Water Toxia - and some on juices.
Drinking too much water is as much a problem in the military as not drinking enough. Soldiers loose salts as they sweat and then their body cannot process the water properly and they get water toxia.

However, it isn't so much a set quantity of water as upsetting the sodium/water ratio in your body. A small quantity of Sodium is required by the body to absorb water into your blood, attach it to your hemoglobin, and to carry water through your capillaries and into your cells. If you don't have enough sodium the water you drink will even have difficulty processing it as waste.
(We all know the effects of too much Sodium, like high blood pressure).

Symptoms for us have typically been nausea, headaches, and an aversion to drinking more water. Ironically the symptoms come from the water not removing the waste and it will appear that you are dehydrated. Simple cure though is to eat something with a natural sodium level that is higher. We would often eat some sunflower seeds or sardines just to counter the effects.

Juices can be as sugar ridden as sodas, so watch the labels. They can also have high sodium levels too. Don't replace natural raw fruit for strictly juices, and watch the calorie, sugar and salt content and treat them as a 1/2 serving of fruit and 1 or 2 glasses should be OK. But I'd move to more water like drinks, and eventually to more water.

Water does not replace electrolytes
Yes you can drink too much water for many of the reasons Alan stated. But when you become dehydrated, u not only need to replace the water lost, you also need to replenish the electrolytes by drinking something such as Gatorade. Water cannot do that for you. If your electrolytes were WAY out of balance it can affect your heart rhythm and other things also.

Juices
While I'm adjusting to drinking plenty of water I am curious, are there any juices that are good to drink a few times a week? i have troubles getting my fruits in and i don't want to drink a juice that isn't helpful at all..

My daughter is challenged eating her 6 servings of fruits & vegetables a day so I started making juice for her - 1 carrot, 1 pear and a cup of spinach - there's 3 vegetables/fruit and she loves it. With the pulp that comes out of the juicer we make crackers - I add chia seeds, cumin and a touch of salt and then dehydrate for a few hours. Makes fabulous tasting crackers which we all love and that way you get the fiber from the fruit & vegetables as well. Give it a try DrtDiva48... might be perfect for you.

Juice alternatives
Have you tried "cutting" your juice with water? I watered my jiuce down to cut the sugar, but still have a little flavor, and eventually it tasted too sweet without being watered down.
