Too much water
Too much water is called "water intoxication". It flushes out necesary electrolytes, causing imbalances in sodium and calcium, and can lead to heart dysrhythmias. Sodium is absolutely necessary for the "sodium/potassium" pumps in the heart's electricity pathways. It is also hard on the kidneys to continually tryto process so much water. However, the diehard 8 glasses a day is a guideline. Your individual water requirements will vary with your activity level, environment (heat) and physiology. Best of luck!

Diet juice
I absolutely LOVE diet juices. They only have 5 calories per serving and almost no sugar. Ocean Spray makes them in a lot of cranberry varieties. You get all the fruity taste without all the terrible sugar!

best juices
Cranberry (as unsweetened as you can find it) and Pomagranite are great juices to drink (for nutrient value). But as others mentioned, juice in moderation b/c of the high sugar content.
