I am not sure if I understand the question... but the mobile app doesn't replace the physical FitBit. You still need to purchase the FitBit in order for the app to work. Is your question about syncing with the iphone/ipad instead of the computer?

Sorry for the unclear question. I think the main reasons it is unclear is because I am a old school kind of guy but, trying to learn new stuff and i am not sure what I want. I am new to this site and like all the different tools availablie. I joined a gym in Jan and have been jogging now for 3 years. I have lost over 40 pounds but i still wanna ge to 200 lbs or less and another goal of mine is to run a ten minute mile. I made that goal in a 5k but then the second and third mile time was higher than I wanted it to be. So now, I want to run a 10, 10, 10. Anyway, I would like (I think) a ipad or iphone that is lightweight that I can take to the gym, go to the fitclick site , pullup exercises, watch the videos and then after completing them enter them in. I also like the idea of having a system of entering my food intake (a food journal) that I can carry around the gym or the track or work. (etc)
Having said all that, what do I ned to have and what do I need to do?
I think christmas time is the perfect time to get what I need. Sorry for the book but, I did'nt really know what I wanted untill I started typing.
