important question
ok i weigh 215 , I started march 11th my starting weight was 229 , so i've lost some now i need to ask , which is better distance or time ?? I brisk walk 1 1/4 mile in 40 minutes , i do this 5 to 6 times aweek now is it how far you go or is it how long you do it for that really counts , i mean should I brisk walk for 60 minutes or just keep adding distance my goal is 2 miles which is better , getting the weight off is a little harder than when i started , it just fell off 11lbs gone in one month, now its like 2 ta 3 lbs a month , its making me want to say OH well just forget it , you've lost 13lbs thats better than where you started, HELP IF YOU CAN ...

When my weight loss slowed down, calorie shifting really helped me a lot! :)
As far as the walking, you want to walk at a brisk enough pace to elevate your heart rate to an aerobic workout. I also have steps per days goals.
So it is a little of both. Set distance (step) goals but then also have specific aerobic walking time where you work on speed.
Also try mixing it up. Some days you might only have 30 or 60 minutes to walk. Why not see how fast you can go in that amount of time. Other days you might have more time and you could see how far you can go at a more moderate pace.
Have fun with it. Figure out how this can be a "forever" habit :)
