new fitclicker needs friends fast
memomom actually is a combination of my two daughter's names and the word mom. I am currantly 48 (49 in october) and desire to be fifty and fabulous. "Just" need to lose 20 lbs and several inches everywhere. I thrive on goals and teamwork. I have decided to try this at home, since driving two teenagers around does not always leave room for the gym. But I always figure I can walk while waiting, or put my bike on the back of the bus, or find some way to move. Anyone else out there with advice or helpful hints? I am new, and motivated . . . but will need help in about a week . . . tomorrow . . . this afternoon . . .

I am also new at this
and trying to understand and be successful. I need to loose more weight than you do but... need to start somewhere. I do not realy want to follow a fad diet but want to eat healthy and loose weight. Diets never last...

i'm in a simliar situation
Hi Memomom,
Although I'm not a mom, I am a 48 yr old, turning 49 in Oct. also.. but I went back to school, and gained over 20 pounds the past 3.5 yrs. Wow! and now, I'm feeling overwhelmed and need buddies to rely on that are not my husband. He says what he 'thinks' will make me feel better only. Bless his heart but the truth is more what I need. My graduation pictures are so bad that I didn't even recognize me. I am way overweight.. an would like a friend who won't critisze..want to be my fitness buddy??
Looking forward to our successes.

there seems to be a lot of help here
I know we can all do this .. i'll be your fit and food friend if you're willing to hlep me stay on track.. I need to 'get out' to the gym that is only 8 miles away.. .. I need as many friends to motivate me.
Anyway, I'll cheer you also. Know that you can do this. .. I know I can but would like support of like people.

i just wanted to say i want someone to talk to and understand im some to understand where im coming from i have a lot of weight 2 lose like 50 lbs im tired of looling at myself as a big person i look around and see my daughter a nice slender girl i once was no i dont want to be a stick but i want to look healthy and be happy with myself.

it sucks
i know the feeling; i use to be an active girl in HS sports and running all the time; then i graduated and got married and gained 105lbs!! I NEED TO LOOSE IT AGIAN; Im divorced now && i want my old self back!! good luck!!

im also new but so excited to find fitclick
I am 33 and a mom. I started working full time from my home last year so you'd think that i'd have all the time in the world to work out because of the flexibility of my schedule. But laziness has settled in and i started eating poorly...plus my whole kitchen was available to me at any time. I have a lot of weight to lose and muscle to re-build but with some help and encouragement i know i can do it. I would love to get in contact with a couple of you to help keep each other accountable. It helps to have people with whom u can be mutually accountable to!! Add me as a friend and let's do this!

I just joined today and need some fitness buddies too
Hello my name is Meghan,
I am 22 years old, married for 4 years, and 145 lbs. I want to weigh 130 lbs...I have never been super skinny or anything but when I was 16 I was 132 pounds at one point. It would be so nice to feel sexy when I make love to my husband instead of hiding my flabby stomach underneath a t-shirt. Not to mention I haven't been seen in public in a bathing suit since 2002....and that wasn't pretty. I have started walking nearly every night for 40 - 60 minutes and the days that I don't, I have been hooping and doing push ups for my flabby arms. Let's do this thing sisters!! ^_^
