don't feel bad!
The best tip I can offer is, don't beat yourself up over it! It really really happens to everyone. The best thing you can do is to recognize that you just fell off the track for a minute, forgive yourself, and get back on track for tomorrow. One day won't negate all the other good work you have done and will continue doing if you make the other days really count. If you dwell on it for too long, you might make yourself feel like you can't do it. You can! Think about it, today was probably pretty similar to the way you used to eat all the time without even noticing... the fact that it's such a difference to you now means you're making good progress!

Week will power to resist
i too have a weekness... i eat because i can.
i have found that looking up the cal/fat/carbs for meals when i plan to eat out - have discuraged me from certain meals... i find the best meal on the menu before i leave the house.
i have also eliminated the "snack" foods in the frig and pantry... if each meal is a meal (meat/veggies/rice/etc), then you shouldnt snack at all... but if you must... keep veggies on hand - just be careful of the dipping sauce you may prefer.
it may only take 30 to 60 days to create the good habit.
Good Luck!

Don't give up!
Try to track your food and your excercise as much as possible. I just started on Monday as well and have already started being more disciplined with the help of these tools. Also, try the ready made meal-plans. They keep you on track so you can't eat too much. Stay encouraged. I have a long way to go, but want to see less of myself this year!

You are not alone!
Hi Ashley!
i know how are you feeling. I decided to never overeat again, to stick with my diet from new year and forever be healthy and fall of the wagon already. I don't know how long have you being dieting but I have being calling myself "on a diet" since I can remember myself( now I am 25, I guess I started at 12) It's all about willpower guys. Honestly. There is no other way. Let's promise each other that from this minute we are going to be strong. We can make it. What a big deal, come on.Some of you gave birth. That's a big deal.Loosing weight is easier. We can totally do it.Let's stop beating ourseves up and get on the diet. We can do it! Ashley, stay in touch, ok? When you have an urge to eat too much again, write her.I will support you.

you can do it
Forgive yourself and know that everybody has bads days.
Think of what you can eat instead of what you can't. Don't think of it as a diet, but a new eating plan. Don't bring foods you don't want to eat into the house. Food Journal, Track your meals (think of everything you have to add if you go away from your meal plan). LOL
Remember everyday is a new day and each good choice is one step closer. One meal at a time, one choice at a time.
Keep healthy snacks available: crunchy (carrots, celery sticks, pretzels), sweet (fruits, oatmeal, cinimmon), salty (pretzel sticks) to curb your cravings and drink lots of water.
