out of controll!!!
Here lately seems like Im am wanting to eat anything bad for me like cake donuts candy, all bad carbs!!! I dont usually have issues but man last night was a killer. I wanted everything bad for me and it was like I couldnt stop thinking about food even though I wasnt hungry. I know I brushed my teeth 10 times to get through the nigh and it did work but OMG does anyone else go through this? And if so what do you do to get your mind from bad food?

It happens to me too...
That "out of control" feeling happens to me as well! Often for me it is triggered by eating anything with refined (white) flour or sugar or potatoes. They are "trigger" foods for me and I experience what I call a "carboholic rage!" So I try to steer clear of refined and starchy carbs for my own sanity sake.
Another form of the problem for me is not quite as troubling... "the munchies"... it comes around every few weeks and I believe hormones are the culprit there.
In either case there are some things that you can try...
* Enjoy a pot of flavored green tea and sweeten with stevia.
* Steam some fresh carrots and toss them in a stevia/cinnamon mixture to make a harmless sweet treat.
* Call accountability partner for a long pep talk/distraction.
* Busy yourself by going online and web-surf fitness/nutrition articles.
* Come to FitClick and max-out your daily points :)
* Positive self-talk! Remind yourself that breakfast is only a few hrs away!!
* Go to bed early!

If you do have a lapse and "cheat" DON'T beat yourself up!! I find I can recover fairly quickly as long as I the cheats happen very seldom!

Great Ideas Wendy!
I actually suffered my own carboholic rage last night. No matter what I ate I still felt ravishing hunger and I'm afraid I succumbed to it. Next time I will try some of your tips. I actually knew your teeth brushing tip Cowgirl, too bad I forgot it last night.

JJ is right-stevia is a great sweet treat.
I use it in my coffee lately, with nutmeg, it is non detectable-it does have a different sort of flavor. I have a stevia plant for a few years now, I dry and grind the leaves w. a mortar and pestle-and although it is green it is great. The store bought packets are less "green" tasting-less plant flavored.

Great ideas here...thanks.

Stevia
When buying stevia powder try to find one without any additives or "fillers." Trader Joe's has an organic powder that fits the bill! I know it is also available online (Amazon and others have brands available). For an excellent overview of many options I have found this website very informative...

Me Too
Every now and then I go into a bad carb rage, pizza is the one for me. I've come up with making a better one using a whole wheat muffin. It works!
