remembering the past
In is hard to think of what you use to do, but now I understand my dad at 92 God rest his soul.Your mind and heart says your 30yrs ol but the body knows your 92. So forget what you use to do, thank God for what you can still do and adapt. Its good for the soul

I understand, but
I don't completely agree, think of an old car sitting in the garage, collecting dust, cob webs and rusting, with repair, and reuse the engine can be firing on all cylinders and getting you around just as good and with the human body, sometimes even better than when in former misuse. Fit4sixty, I think as time and repair go on in your body because of your new lifestyle choice you will be shocked at what you will get back the use of and in the mirror glimpses of yesterday. It's good for the spirit-ME.

Keep up the good works!

One of my walking crew just turned 69. We walk almost daily, at least 4 miles, up and down the hills in Pittsburgh neighborhoods. We walk at a pretty good pace too! She amazes herself daily :) No types of inclement weather have held us back. We have been drenched by downpours, blinded by blizzards, buffeted by winds, challenged by icy surfaces and roasted in summer heat. We get out whenever our schedules allow; sometimes early mornings, sometimes midday and sometimes late evening. In addition to the walking, she is active with me at Curves, Zumba Classes, and dumbbell training! Nothing holds her back and her health and stamina seem to improve with age :)

Sorry guys---things do change
At almost 65 and my knees were the first to go but I still try to truck on.... Also, It gets to where you can't open any containers--you lose strength in your wrists....hate to be negative but I have always been pretty positive but last night when I had to fight with that newly purchased grated cheese package I almost lost my religion. I refuse to take things over to my neighbor to have him open things....My poor mom at 96 yrs old is still barely mobile....she can't brush her teeth bc her shoulders are frozen. All this and Life is still good!
