Correction
Once you are in your target zone...you will be there for a bit even if you set still...you still burn calories. You should think of your body as an engine... Once it's warm and running, its at normal operating range....when you shut it down it takes some time to cool off. Doesn't matter how hard you push yourself...it's the time and quality of work that matters. STAY IN THE ZONE!!!...lol...
