Directions:  
In Pan melt 1/2 C (1 stick) butter over low heat, 1/4 C cream, 1 C brown sugar heat until all is warm & melted together. Than add chopped nuts.
4-6 apples any type sliced enough to cover the 13x9 pan.
1 cake mix, follow the box mix, but add 1/4 C more water to mix. add 1/2 t pumpkin pie spice to yellow ake mix, with 3 the eggs, the oil.
In the 13x 9 pan pour the carmel / nut mixture into the bottom of pan. add the sliced apple to cover the bottom of pan, then pour the mixed cake mix over the apples. Bake 43--46 mins, until a knife put in middle comes out clean. Let sit 10-15 mins, go around the outside of the
cake thenturn it out upside down onto a plate, so that the carmel apple is on the top. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
