Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Sift together the first four ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter. Add sugar and molasses and continue beating. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

To the sugar mixture add vanilla and cinnamon. Mix in sifted dry ingredients alternately with the bananas. Stir in walnuts.

Pour batter into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife inseted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool in pan 20 to 30 minutes before moving to a rack.
