Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Spread the pecans out on a baking sheet. Toast nuts, tossing occasionally, 5 minutes; chop.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sugar and cinnamon and cook, whisking occasionally, 4 minutes.
Stir in the bananas. Remove from heat and add the rum. Carefully light the mixture with a match and wait until the flame goes out. Stir in the pecans.
Serve the bananas and sauce over vanilla ice cream.
