Thinly shave zucchini lengthwise. Place zucchini in a bowl. Thinly slice garlic. Set aside.

Cut chicken crosswise into thirds. Season with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat oil over a medium-high heat. Saute chicken for about 10 minutes. Add chicken to bowl with zucchini.

Add garlic to skillet; cook 1 minute. Add 2 tablespoons water; stir loose brown bits. Drizzle liquid over chicken. Add basil to bowl and toss until wilts slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
