Description: my family's take on dirty rice. this recipe has never been writen down, so ingredient measurements and cooking times may vary. this recipe is a "man pleaser", southern comfort food that isnt going to give you a heart attack. use ground turkey instead
Ingredients:  Makes 6 servings (6 cups)

prepare rice as package directs.

saute onions, celery and garlic
add ground turkey and brown with onions, celery and garlic.

drain off any excess fat/grease. (if you use beef instead of turkey. there wont be much if you use the turkey.)

add worcestershire sauce and continue to saute until vegtables are tender.

add package of lipton onion dry mix and stir to mix well.

pour in french onion soup, do NOT add water.

add pimentos and stir well

simmer, stirring occasionally until it looks done. (again this is a family recipe passed down from my grandmother, the sauce will only slightly thicken. its not suppose to be a gravy.)

combine rice with meat mixture, mix well, and serve.

I got a great recipe for this, I use authentic Jamaican Jerk seasoning. It's amazing. Scotch bonnets give the fire. BRING IT!
