2  teaspoons

Directions:  
Pour 2 cups of water into a medium sized pot .
Add raisins and dates.
Blend an orange in a blender and add juice rind and pulp to pot.
Add the nutmeg , salt and cinnamon and boil the entire mixture for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat
Add oil and let mixture cool. Put mixture into processor or blender if you like a smoother consistency.
(Add a cup of chopped nuts if you wish but remember to check the nutrition information and calorie count .)
Add vanilla, flour, baking soda and nuts
Mix well.
Bake in a greased angel food pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

This cake is delicious. And only natural sugar from the dates and raisins. One serving is ample to satisfy a sweet tooth. Considering I am a chocolate addict, it is a wonder that this cake that has no chocolate is so satisfying.
