In a medium-large bowl, place the ground turkey. Press the garlic through a garlic press and add it to the turkey. Add the cumin, 1/2 t. salt, and a heaping 1/4 t. freshly ground black pepper. Using a fork, mash the ingredients to incorporate them. Cover and refrigerate for up to 1 hour to let the flavors mingle, or you can cook it immediately.

Using your hands, form the mixture into 12 flat patties, each about 2" in diameter and about 1/4" thick.

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add the sausage patties and cook them on one side until browned, about 2 minutes. Carefully turn the patties over and cook them on the other side until browned and just cooked through, about 2 minutes longer. (Do not overcook; you want the patties to be moist.) Serve immediately.
