Mix all ingredients and simmer covered for 50-60 minutes.

Remove whole basil leaves. If you leave them in the soup it will have a slight bitter taste.

This freezes and reheats well. I use Jenno O self basting turkey or a Butterball Turkey....this make the most drippings that you can add to the soup for flavor (include this as part of the broth.)
