In bowl using electric mixer, beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt. Beat till very foamy. Add sugar and beat till glossy and fluffy peaks have formed. Blend in vanilla.

Sprinkle flour into egg whites in small increments mixing well after each addition. Add flour in about 6 to 8 increments. After all added, beat for another minute to insure flour is incorporated into batter.

Spray a 9 x 12 pan with Pam. Preheat oven to 350.

Pour batter into prepared pan and make sure it is even in pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes and then let cool for an hour before inverting onto a serving platter.
