Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour until smooth. Slowly, add cream and broth. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat; add cheese; stir until melted. Add the macaroni, chicken, pimientos, salt and pepper.

Pour into a baking dish. Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes.
