1
Spray a non-stick skillet with cooking spray.
2
Season steak with garlic and onion powder (optional) salt and pepper to taste. (to keep carbs down, veges are kept to minimum...thus powdered onion and garlic)
3
Brown the steak on both sides. Remove from pan.
4
Add avocado oil, onions, tomatoes and peppers to skillet and saute until slightly browned.
5
Return steak to skillet with vegetables.
6
Mix taco sauce with water and add to skillet.
7
Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 1 - 1 1/2 hours until meat is fork tender. Sauce will reduce to make a nice gravy.
OPTION 1
Instead of simmering in the skillet, after bringing to boil, put steak and sauce mixture in a small crock pot and cook on low for 6 - 8 hours.
