Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake according to package directions in 2 9-inch round cake pans. Remove from pans. Cool completely.

In a microwaveable bowl, place chocolate and butter. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir until completely melted.

Beat cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl on medium speed. Add cool whip and cookie crumbs; mix. Place 1 layer of cake, top side down, on a serving plate. Spread cream cheese mixture over evenly. Cover with the remaining cake layer, top side up. Spoon chocolate butter glaze over top. Allow to set. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
