Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a non-stick loaf pan.

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the center of mixture and set aside.

Combine pumpkin, egg and oil. Stir well. Add to flour mixture. Stir until flour mixture is blended. Batter will be lumpy. Do not over mix.

Fold in chopped pecans.

Spoon batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center of bread comes out clean.

Cool in pan for 10 to 12 minutes and remove from pan to continue cooling.
