Fry the 2 slices of bacon in a cast iron skillet. Remove the bacon from the skillet to cool. Add the Safflower oil to the skillet with the bacon grease, heat to medium high. Then add the okra, cook approximately 15 minutes stirring often. Crumble the bacon, add to the skillet along with the black pepper. Cook another 5 minutes until crisp. Serve immediately.
