Slice rolls in half, placing bottoms on baking pan.
Melt butter, sugar, and garlic powder together. Spread half of this mixture on the rolls in pan.
Top with ham, Swiss, and American slices.
Place tops of rolls on sandwiches and spread remaining butter on tops.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
