Butter the bottom of a cookie sheet. Sift both flours into a larger bowl, with salt, baking powder, salt, cayenne pepper, curry powder, and poppy seeds. Add in the butter until everything is mixed well together. Add the milk and beaten egg. Mix into a soft dough. Lightly knead dough for a few minutes onto a floured surface. Shape dough into a round loaf. Cut a cross in the center of the dough top. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
