Directions:

Add steak a few pieces at a time to margarine and cooking oil in a frying pan. As it browns, remove to medium size saucepan. Add more margarine and cooking oil to frying pan as needed.

Add next 8 ingredients to saucepan. Stir. Cover and bring to a boil. Simmer until meat is tender, about 2 hours.

Add potato and carrot to meat adding more water as needed. Cook until tender

Stir in mushrooms and cook another 5 - 10 minutes.
