Day 6 - Thoughts on running

I just had a GREAT run with my puppy. She's 7 months and really enjoyed running with me. I can't run far so I'm doing C25K which is an excellent program. Today was my last day of week 1 with it. For week 1 you run for 60 seconds and walk for 90 seconds. Repeat that for 20 minutes with a 5 minute walk before and after for warm up and cool down. The dog absolutely LOVED it! It was her first time running with me and I have to say it made the run go a lot faster. 30 minutes just flew by. ...

Day 4

I'm doing pretty well so far. By giving myself a calorie limit of 1700 and being mindful of what I eat and my portions I'm so able to do 5-6 meals a day. It's funny but my body is getting used to eating so often. I was going to skip my afternoon snack because I had such a large morning snack (wanted the protein after I worked out). But sure enough at around 2:30 my belly started to growl and I was hungry. So I had some fruit. Just enough to hold me over till dinner. I'm so proud of myse...

My workout today was pretty good. I was considering doing cross fit but I want to make sure I have good form before I start messing with exercises I'm unfamiliar with at the gym. My husband is going to go over some with me tonight. Instead I did my body sculpting stuff. I wasn't able to complete the workout. I tried. Really I did. But I began to feel really weak. I mean to the point where I just didn't feel like I could do another squat. Even walking over to the area that I do my stre...

Today is Day 2 and so far it's been a great day. :) I ran for 20 minutes on the treadmill at the gym. I know it's not much, but I'm trying. It wasn't a full run, I'm doing the C25K program so it was interval training. But it's a start. I should've done it for half an hour but I didn't really have the time today. At least I was able to do the 20 min. On the way home from visiting my grandfather in the hospital I noticed a bag on the driver's side door. I looked in it and there are Fr...

Today is day 1 for me and so far it's a good one. I'm keeping track of what I'm eating. I'm eating smaller portions (which I actually started 2 days ago) and I just got home from a GREAT workout!

My arms feel like jell-o. My legs feel like rubber. My abs feel like they're going to fall off. lol I'm sitting here, drinking my protein shake, and updating on here. Life is good. lol

Though, I know that tomorrow I'm going to really be feeling the pain tomorrow though.

A new beginning

A lot of women claim that their weight gain is from their children. "Oh when I had a baby I gained so much weight!" That's not the case for me though. After the birth of my daughter (who is now 5) I weighed about 20 lbs less than I do now. I gained a lot since. I've lost around 40 lbs so far. It depends. Some days I'm 190 and some days I'm 180. Gotta love water weight. But overall I've lost around 40. It took me about a year to do just by eating healthier. It's been 2 years and I ha...
